How to create a League Website

cricketWeb™ enables you to build a League website in 5 simple steps:

  1. Select a domain name for your League

  2. Supply the cricketWeb team with your League colours and logo to personalise the look and feel of your site

  3. Install cricketWeb™ onto your chosen administrator(s) computer. You may select more than one League volunteer to maintain your site.

  4. Enter the content for your website into cricketWeb’s windows application which will prompt you for the information you need to populate the pages of your website

  5. When you are satisfied with the information you have entered into cricketWeb, connect to the Internet and press the “upload” button to populate your own League site with information!

 

 


Selecting your League’s domain name
The cricketWeb team will help you select a domain name for your League website and register and maintain this for you. This address will be exclusive to you and become key to promoting your League.

Personalising your League site
The cricketWeb team will organise for your site to be personalised with your own League colours and logo. If you have sponsors and advertisers these can also be placed on your home page. Your home page is exclusive to your League and you have full discretion over who appears on your site. Further customisation of your site is possible through the cricketWeb application.

Installing cricketWeb™
cricketWeb will be provided to you on a CDROM with simple installation instructions. The installation is automatic requiring no prior technical knowledge to run. If however you would like further support the cricketWeb team will be available by email or telephone to help you.

Building the content for your League site
To get your League site up and running you need to enter your League’s information into cricketWeb’s™ easy to use windows application. The application contains different windows or screens which prompt you to enter league events or news, fixtures, results, clubs, members, grounds, competitions and links. cricketWeb allows multiple users (administrators) so you can share the responsibility of building your site.

Using the cricketWeb windows application is very simple and comes with a user manual explaining how to enter your information. You don’t need to be proficient with computers to get your site up and running and the cricketWeb team provide customer support by email to answer any questions.

Going live with your site
Once your information is entered into cricketWeb you are ready to go live with your League site. Simply connect to the Internet, click the “upload” button and the information you have entered into cricketWeb will be uploaded to your site. As you or other league administrators make changes in cricketWeb your website will be updated.

As an administrator you will have the choice to access your League information either through your League website or through the cricketWeb application. You do not need to be connected to the internet to use the cricketWeb application.
